About Me

I might just be one of the most patient men on the planet—which is useful as both a photographer and a Juventus supporter! Growing up in the peaceful village of Palaia, where life moves at its own rhythm, has shaped my laid-back outlook. It’s also inspired me to capture and share the raw beauty of Tuscany through my lens.

But my dreams extend beyond Tuscany. One day, I hope to travel across Scotland—especially the Highlands—photographing its breathtaking landscapes and writing a book about my adventures. My love for Scotland’s history, people, and culture is so strong that I’ve even been known to wander around Tuscany in my kilt. Now that’s a photo worth seeing!

My Journey in Photography

Though my professional career started in logistics, my heart has always belonged to photography. Over the years, I’ve studied composition, lighting, and the delicate art of storytelling through imagery. Every shot I take is crafted to capture authentic, in-the-moment beauty.

In the 1990s, I launched Pisa’s first Amateur Football Gazette, blending my passions for photography and storytelling to spotlight rising sports talent. That experience sparked my love for documentary-style photography, a passion that continues to shape my work today.

Now, as a full-time photographer, I specialize in ‘In the Moment’ photography—capturing spontaneous, unplanned moments that reveal the true essence of a place or person. Whether it’s the winding streets of Tuscany, the sun-drenched countryside, or a quiet moment of reflection, I strive to encapsulate the soul of every scene.

Working alongside Paul and the entire Sweet Life team is both inspiring and fulfilling. Their vision for creating something meaningful pushes me to do my best work. Coming from a more relaxed pace of life, being part of such a dynamic project is a privilege.

As The Joyful Photographer, my role is to document the beauty of Tuscany and the transformation of our guests during their retreats. Whether it’s a spontaneous moment of laughter over wine or the quiet contemplation of a morning walk, my mission is to preserve these fleeting, magical experiences.
